Advocacy, Collaboration, and Training in Bucks County
The Bucks County Direct Care ACT Program provides help for hiring, upskilling, and retention of Home Health Aides, Personal Care Aides, and CNAs. This program is made possible by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry.
On behalf of the PA Department of Labor & Industry, Bucks County Workforce Development Board’s Direct Care Advocacy, Collaboration, and Training (ACT) Program project has been awarded $600,000.00 under the Direct Care Worker Job Quality (DCWJQ) to address the demand for direct care workers.
In partnership with Bucks County Health Improvement Program (BCHIP) and the PA CareerLink® Bucks County the Direct Care Advocacy, Collaboration, and Training (ACT) Program aims to assist Bucks County hospitals and healthcare facilities with the hiring and retention of Home Health Aides, Personal Care Aides, and Certified Nursing Assistants.
Individuals interested in training and employment as a Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant may receive free training and certifications through the grant. Funds are available for assistance with transportation, dependent care, and other items if needed.
